Gumoil Photographic Printmaking 2 day workshop with Karena Goldfinch

Gumoil uses a digital transparency to produce a photographic image onto watercolour paper that is somewhat less representational than most processes. Gumoil uses ultraviolet light to harden emulsion leaving the unexposed areas to wash away in water. Oil paint is then applied and the hardened emulsion acts as a resist as the paint is absorbed into the substrate of the paper. Explore some of the possibilities of this simple alternative process and how you can make it your own.
